For many years, Yale rings have been proudly worn by generations of Elis. However, in the past 20 years, ring designs and options have multiplied to the point where the symbolism of the ring has been lost and anyone could purchase a ring - even if they did not attend Yale.
Just as the new ring is special, the manner in which it is presented should be special as well. Juniors and Seniors who purchase their rings by the deadline will be invited to participate in the Yale Ring Presentation event on Sunday during Family Weekend.
In 2005, students, administrators, and alumni partnered with Balfour to redesign the ring, resulting in the current ring selections. These rings proudly hold many of the elements of the original ring, particularly the Arch.
Much like the university, these rings are more than what they appear on the surface. They are more than a circle made of precious metal; they symbolize a bond that can never be broken. They represent the bond between the University of Georgia and its graduates, as well as between all those who wear them.
The Ring Ceremony and Eagle Ring Dive is a time-honored tradition to celebrate those who have earned their class ring! The ceremony is an invitation-only event for students and alumni who have ordered and paid for official Jostens rings by the March 23, 2023 deadline.
The University has recently partnered with Jostens to provide our Official Class Ring. All juniors, seniors, graduate and professional students, as well as alumni, can purchase their class ring, which features a prominent Block O and can be personalized with your graduation date, degree type, and/or an inscription on the inner band. Various sizes, designs and metal colors are available to make your class ring uniquely you.
All rings purchased by the semester's deadline automatically get shipped to the university for Ring Celebration. This address acts as a backup in the event you do not attend Ring Celebration or are unable to pick up your ring the week after the event.
Graduation rings are an excellent keepsake to have when you are capping off any part of your educational career. You owe it to yourself to commemorate this time in your life with a piece of jewelry that will make it all feel worthwhile.

This is a company that doesn't cut corners, and never cheap out when it comes to the materials that their rings are made with. In fact, they use finer materials than you'll find when shopping with bigger companies like Jostens, Herff Jones, and Balfour.

Some people prefer a classic metal look, or you could go with premium metals like sterling silver, gold, or rose gold. Figure out in detail what you would like from the class ring so that you can get the finished product that you will love to wear.
When you are thinking about buying a new graduation ring, consider talking to a class rings representative that can show you plenty of options. They will advise you on the class rings process and walk you through the details of creating your own graduation ring.

Because ours is a school ring rather than a class ring, students may order their rings and take part in the traditions and Ring Ceremony as early as sophomore year. Each ring purchase includes a $100 donation to the Alumni Association to support programs and services for the College. This donation also makes the student a donor to the College, which is one of the Traditions in which students are encouraged to experience before graduation.
Hosted by the Alumni Association, this auspicious ceremony will highlight the history of the CofC ring and the symbolism of its design. College President Andrew Hsu will present your ring to you and a professional photographer will be on hand to record the moment. Before putting on your ring, the President of the Alumni Association will provide instructions on how to wear it before and after graduation and will ask ring recipients to put their rings on the first time together.
Rings are available in yellow or white gold, silver, or celestrium. Your initials, degree, class year, or sorority or fraternity may be engraved inside. A pendant necklace is also available.
